Haddon Kellahan, LPC
A native of the south and graduate of The Citadel, I moved to St. Louis to pursue my counseling degree at Covenant Theological Seminary in 2014 and quickly planted roots in Tower Grove. I have come to deeply love this city and am glad to now call it my home. I met my lovely wife in 2017, was married a year later, and today we have two wonderful children who keep us very busy with their wild imaginations and endless energy.
Therapeutic Approach
My education at Covenant Seminary taught me to draw from many therapeutic frameworks in order to form an integrative and adaptive approach in the counseling room. With attachment theory as my foundation, I work to cultivate a secure and attuned relationship with you - understanding and honoring your worldview and values with deep respect for the experiences that have shaped them. As trust and safety builds through our partnership, I will work to appropriately challenge you and honor you with the honesty that might be warranted in order to help you meet your goals for therapy. Like any significant relationship, I am committed to working through moments of difficulty with you and see this as the distinct privilege of my role as your therapist.
I am certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and have learned to utilize this model to also work with families and individuals. I regularly conduct EFT-based Hold Me Tight® workshops for couples to help strengthen their relationship and rebuild lost connection. For more information on these events, please visit www.holdmetightstl.com.
Over the years, I also have consistently worked with those suffering from unwanted sexual behavior and other addiction-based issues. I am honored to accompany and guide individuals on their recovery journey and hold deep respect for the challenges faced by this population.
